About Me
Hello, welcome to my world! Nice to meet you 🙂
I would like to share some more information about myself. I am Aslı Saglam. I am an English language teacher and I have been teaching English for more than 12 years now. I worked at preparatory schools of some major Turkish universities as English language instructor. Teaching has taught me a lot about myself, other people and the world. I love teaching a lot (like the way Gollum loves the ring ) and I want to share my reflections about teaching in this blog.
Welcome to my world!
Who am I?
My name is Aslı and I am a wife, mother, teacher, sister, daughter, friend, world citizen and a life-long learner (in no specific order). I have M.A and B.A in English Language Teaching from Middle East Technical University and right now I am pursuing my Ph.D. I have been teaching English as a foreign language in Turkey for more than 13 years now. I worked at major Turkish Universities including Bilkent, Bilgi, and Bahcesehir University. Right now, I am working at Ozyegin University, Istanbul Turkey. The best part of my job is that I am working with excellent colleagues and friends.
I am particularly interested in curriulumand instructional design, testing and ICT. I am quite new to blogging. Previously I took an ICT course from The Consultants-E and right now I am following The Teacher Challange in Blogging (and I am loving it!!). Thanks to blogging and other bloggers, I can get to know great many possibilities of making teaching & learning much more efficient and fun. Other passions and interests cover windsurfing, reading and photography.
Asli, what a delight to read your blog. I, too, am part of this blogging challenge, and I am loving it. What a privilege to meet so many wonderful people from around the world. Thanks for sharing your passion for learning and teaching in your blog. I will look forward to reading more! Denise

Hi Asli,
Just been directed here from Facebook and had a quick look around at lunch time. Really interesting stuff – I’m planning on coming back and having another search around later. Who knows, you might even inspire me to have a bash at the new-fangled technology thing!
