Talking Presentations: Moving Pictures
It was a great presentation!!!
Emine and Merve have put together great ideas and activities for using images to boost learner involvement, creativity and motivation in their presentation “Moving Pictures”.
When Merve shared their presentation at our school it created great delight and triggered many teaching ideas because we rediscovered/ remembered the potential power of images.
One of the tasks was having a discussion about book covers (commenting, evaluating, (dis)agreeing…etc.).
Then we were asked to design our book of life and decide on the title, writer, design of the cover page). Isn’t that a marvelous and creative way of communicating. Such an activity can be used to recyle certain newly learned vocabulary, grammar structures and speaking objectives.
An example;
Afterwards, I asked them whether we can go over their presentation and talk about it further. I was lucky; they kindly accepted to go over their activities and content and answer some questions 🙂
Here is Moving Pictures in Talking presentations by Emine Civanoglu and Merve Tulek. Hope you enjoy.
